The mop is very convenient, practical and easy to use and allows you to thoroughly clean the whole house in a few minutes with little water. But like everything, it needs care.

The bucket must be disinfected every time it is used for cleaning. It should never be left with dirty water inside and, of course, the water should not be reused. Each time it is used, it is soaped up and rinsed thoroughly, then a disinfectant is poured in.

Some people use large amounts of bleach, which definitely has a bleaching action and eliminates germs and bacteria in the blink of an eye. Those who use baking soda, which stains, shines and removes grease. Especially when used with vinegar, it gives incredible results.

Water and salt are the best home remedies for disinfection. Their action is due to their osmotic power, which kills bacteria in a few moments. When microorganisms come in contact with the concentrated solution of water and salt, they die by dehydration.

Salt on the mop is just one of many effective remedies. Another ingredient, always present in the kitchen, is lemon. Fill a basin with hot water and pour in the juice of two lemons. Soak your cloths and mop in the solution for at least a few hours. Then rinse thoroughly. The lemon not only disinfects but also eliminates bad odors.

Lemons, baking soda and salt are combined with tea tree oil, which has antibacterial properties and also eliminates odors. Pour lemon juice and a few drops of tea tree oil into a basin filled with warm water. Leave to soak for half an hour, then rinse.
