It can be really frustrating when, despite cleaning the floor with the right frequency, our house is still invaded by unwanted guests such as ants, spiders or cockroaches. Although almost always harmless, these insects can still be a problem.
To eliminate insects from our homes we usually use chemicals that, although effective, pose a risk to our health and are very harmful to the environment. Fortunately, they are not the only solution.
There is a little trick that allows us to ward off cockroaches, ants and spiders and at the same time clean the floor thoroughly, making it shine and releasing a good aroma.
Below we suggest you a do-it-yourself trick to clean the floor with naphthalene and get rid of cockroaches, spiders and ants forever.
Do you need:
15 mothballs
Half a cap of fabric softener per wash
200 ml of white vinegar
3 tablespoons of liquid dish soap
Water
Procedure:
Put on gloves and crush the mothballs until they turn into powder.
Pour the naphthalene powder into a bucket with one liter of hot water and mix well.
Add the white vinegar and liquid detergent and mix well.
Add the softener and keep stirring.
Pour another two litres of water at room temperature.
Use the solution to wash the floor as you usually do.
Now that you know how to prepare a bug repellent solution while washing the floor, try preparing it right away to say goodbye to these unwanted guests.
