How to clean radiators without creating dust all over the house

Radiators are an indispensable part of our homes, as they keep us warm and greatly improve our quality of life since their invention.

However, they are “static” elements that tend to accumulate a lot of dust, which can compromise their efficiency and be a problem if we suffer from allergies or other respiratory problems.

Cleaning radiators is very important before and during the cold months. Below we suggest how to carry it out.

To clean the outside of aluminum radiators, simply wipe with a microfiber cloth. Once the dust has been removed, moisten the cloth with warm water, a little vinegar and a few drops of soap and wipe the surface again. This last procedure removes dust mites and dirt.

Cleaning the inside of the dispenser is a bit more complex.
The first step is to remove the accumulation of dust between the fins of the cooler. To do this, we recommend using a vacuum cleaner with a fine nozzle that fits between the radiator crevices. Insert the nozzle at one end and try to close the other end to create a “suction effect.”

If this method does not work, you can try inserting a rather long tool between the cracks, to which you will need to attach a microfiber cloth.

In a bucket, mix hot water with white vinegar, baking soda and a little soap. Dampen a cloth and run it through the cracks in the cooler, if possible. Finally, wipe off the residue and dirt with a dry cloth.
