How to Remove Stains and Sweat from Pillows Naturally

The pillows are one of those household items that need special care to be kept in optimal hygienic conditions and suitable for regular and safe use.

Although they are hidden by pillowcases, the sweat or saliva spots that form on the pillows can create a perfect environment for the proliferation of bacteria and mites, which come into contact with our respiratory system.

In most cases it is certainly not necessary to take drastic measures such as buying new pillows, but you can clean and stain the pillows naturally to make them return as new, and below we list two effective methods.

Carto and baking soda. The combination of these two ingredients allows us to get a perfect solution to whiten and disinfect the fabric of the cushions. Both ingredients have antibacterial and bleaching properties that facilitate the elimination of dirt and sweat stains.

Put the pillows in the washing machine and fill it with water. Pour 80 grams of baking soda and 120 ml of white vinegar. Start the full wash cycle and, once finished, let the pillows dry in the sun.

Hot water and lemon juice. The antibacterial and disinfected properties of lemon are no secret. No wonder this natural ingredient is also one of the most effective for whitening and stainting pillows.

Pour in a bucket 2 and a half liters of hot water and the juice of 6 lemons. Soak the pillow in the solution and add more water until you completely cover it.

Let it soak for a couple of hours, then wash the pillow normally and let it dry in the sun.

Now that you know how to whiten the pillows and remove stains and sweat, try applying one of the two methods and make them return to their original appearance.
