The most powerful natural pesticide for plants and the garden is cheap and quick to make
The first thing to do to protect your vegetable crops is to plant a garlic plant next to them.
The smell of garlic can overpower that of roses and peaches, for example, so it is very useful for protecting them.
For this reason, many experts agree that it is essential to plant garlic next to rose bushes, especially to keep beetles and aphids away. The same result can be achieved by planting garlic next to onions, peaches, leeks and carrots.
Pests will move away from these plants because they are disoriented by the persistent odor of garlic.
In addition, garlic also succeeds in keeping away aphids, which are wont to attach themselves to celery and lettuce. It also succeeds in scaring off the usual mites we usually see on tomatoes. Without any chemicals, garlic can even keep cabbage worms away, and some researchers claim that the smell of garlic can keep slugs away as well.
But only the plant itself can be extremely effective. In fact, by using water, you can create a perfect natural pest repellent that can be sprayed directly on the soil. The result of this natural mixture will be super effective.

Garlic pest repellent: need and process
Making a natural pesticide agent with your own hands is very simple: just follow the procedure described below.
Make a perfect mixture by combining garlic and onion with cayenne pepper.
You will need the following.
20 g of pure Marseille soap
50 g of garlic cloves
5 g cayenne pepper (or other finely ground pepper)
1 liter of hot water
Procedure:
We cook the ingredients for 15 to 20 minutes. Then we turn off the heat and, while the mixture is still hot, add 20 g of Marseille soap flakes (pure laundry soap). We wait for the mixture to cool and spread it on the aphid-affected areas using a spray bottle. It also acts as a preventive measure, starting as soon as there are signs of aphids on the path.
You can add a few slices of onion to the mixture for an even richer preparation.
Here’s what the different ingredients do:
Soap, on insects with soft tegument, works by shutting down the respiratory organs.
Garlic has an antibacterial and repellent action, and its sulfur content also has a preventive action against fungal diseases.
